Restoring Grout has never been simpler with Apeiron's 2-Step grout cleaning and restoration system. Use our Alky-14 degreasing cleaner under our Rotary Grout Brush to strip away grease, oils, and previous floor care treatments. Vacuum, rinse, and vacuum again, and you're ready to repeat the procedure using our Grout Blast, putting the final touches on bringing back your natural grout. This step cleans and hones the ceramic tile, preparing it for polish. Vacuum, rinse, and vacuum again, and repeat the procedure using Dazzle 2 and a Dia-Poly FP Pad to complete the polishing process. Step 1 - Clean, Degrease, and Strip with Alky-14
1) Mix Alky-14 and water with a dillution rate of 1:20 (32 oz. Alky-14 per 5 gallons water). Flood the area to be restored, allowing 10 minutes of dwell time.
2) Scrub floor with a Rotary Grout Brush and a low speed machine. Be sure to use a cross- hatch pattern.
Alky-14 process times:
1 minute per square foot
3) Wet vacuum to remove the slurry residue. Damp mop rinse with Apeiron's Stone Wash and vacuum again.
Step 2 - Clean and Restore Grout with Grout Blast
1) Mix Grout Blast and water with a dillution rate of 1:10 (64 oz. Grout Blast per 5 gallons water). Flood the area to be restored, allowing 10 minutes of dwell time.
2) Scrub floor with a Rotary Grout Brush and a low speed machine. Be sure to use a cross- hatch pattern.
Alky-14 process times:
1 minute per square foot
3) Wet vacuum to remove the slurry residue. Damp mop rinse with Apeiron's Stone Wash and vacuum again.
Step 3 - Sealing with Impregnator Seal Concentrate
1) Thoroughly wash, rinse, and dry the floor. The floor must be completely dry before sealing.
2) Dilute 1qt. of Impregnator Seal Concentrate with 3 qt. of water to make one ready-to-use gallon.
3) After mixing, apply a very thin layer of Apeiron's Impregnator Seal Concentrate using a flat mop applicator and allow to dry 15-30 minutes.
4) Using a low-speed or high-speed floor machine, buff or burnish any remaining residue using Apeiron's White Polishing Pad.
Ceramic floors must be thoroughly stripped and cleaned before resurfacing and polishing with Dazzle 1 and 2. Please follow the Grout Restoration instructions to prepare the tile and grout for this step.
Add to your Grout restoration with Apeiron's 2-Step ceramic tile honing and polishing procedure. 1) Pour 3 oz (84 grams) of Apeiron's Dazzle 1 onto the floor in a thin ring shape the size of your pad. Fill the ring with 1/2 cup water slowly, and slowly pour 1/2 cup water immediately outside the ring.
2) Place your low-speed floor machine, equipped with a Weighted Pad Drive and Apeiron's Dia-Poly PP Pad on top of your ring of Dazzle 1. Buff into a slurry over a 25 square foot area
Dazzle 1 process times:
10 minutes per 25 square feet
3) Wet vacuum to remove the slurry residue. Damp mop rinse with Apeiron's Stone Wash and vacuum again.
Step 2 - Polish and Add Gloss with Dazzle 2
1) Pour 3 oz (84 grams) of Apeiron's Dazzle 2 onto the floor in a thin ring shape the size of your pad. Fill the ring with 1/2 cup water slowly, and slowly pour 1/2 cup water immediately outside the ring.

Lippage is the difference in height between tiles. Often times when a floor is not laid down properly, or over the course of time, tiles are shifted to different heights, causing a lot of problems for restoring and maintaining your floor.
Trying to maintain or restore floors with a lot of lippage can cause damage to the equipment used or the tiles themselves. To avoid such damages, it is recommened to take down, or remove, lippage, creating a uniform height between all tiles. This makes all restoration and maintenance safer and more effective.
Lippage removal is very similar to Apeiron's 2-step restoration process or traditional restoration. Before starting either restoration method, use Apeiron's Hybrid Diamond Disks to hone at a lower grit than is required for floors without lippage. These unique disks provide extra abrasion and smooth scratch-patterns due to the special material out of which they are made.

Step 1 - Lippage Removal with Hybrid Diamond Disks
1) Thoroughly strip the floor to remove surface coating.
2) Hone the surface with Apeiron's Hybrid Diamond Disks and water.
Start with 30 grit hybrid disks.
Honing process times:
1 minute per square foot
3) Wet vacuum to remove the slurry residue. Damp mop rinse with Apeiron's Stone Wash and vacuum again.
4) Continue to move upwards through the grits up to and including 100 or 200 grit for comprehensive lippage removal.
