Apeiron blends the tools and techniques of honing and polishing processes to create a system that works better, cheaper, and faster. Hone with Apeiron's Hybrid Diamond Disks, strengthen your conrete with CLM Densifier, hone once more with Apeiron's Concrete Diamond Disk, and finish up by polishing with the powerful Durapad pad driver and respective diamonds.

Traditional Restoration

Prefer a more the more class traditional restoration of concrete Hone and polish by going through your traditional grits using Apeiron's Concrete Diamond Disks.

Apeiron Polishing System

Apeiron blends the tools and techniques of honing and polishing processes to create a system that works better, cheaper, and faster. Hone with Apeiron's Hybrid Diamond Disks, strengthen your conrete with CLM Densifier, hone once more with Apeiron's Concrete Diamond Disk, and finish up by polishing with the powerful Durapad pad driver and respective diamonds.

• Step 1 - Hone with Hybrid Diamond Disks

  1) Thoroughly strip the floor to remove surface coating.
  2) Hone the surface with Apeiron's Hybrid Diamond Disks and water.
    Start with 100 or 200 grit diamond disks.
    Honing process times:
     1 minute per square foot
  3) Wet vacuum to remove the slurry residue. Damp mop rinse with Apeiron's Stone Wash.

• Step 2 - Strengthen Concrete with CLM Densifier

  1) Apply CLM Densifier to the surface (using a mop, roller, or pump sprayer) to the point of puddling.
  2) CLM Densifier must dry as much of possible before moving onto subsequent steps in honing and polishing.
  

• Step 3 - Hone with Concrete Diamond Disks

  1) Hone the surface with Apeiron's Concrete Concrete Disks and water.
    Start with 400 grit diamond disks.
    Honing process times:
     1 minute per square foot
  2) Wet vacuum to remove the slurry residue. Damp mop rinse with Apeiron's Stone Wash.

• Step 4 - Polish with Durapad Pad Driver and Diamonds

  1) Polish by equipping your burnisher with the Durapad Pad Driver and attach Durapad-ready diamond disks. These steps are done dry.
    Start with 800 grit diamond disks.
    Polishing process times:
     1 minute per square foot
  2) Dry vacuum to remove the dust.
  3) Continue to move upwards through grits 1500 and 3000 for comprehensive polishing.

Traditional Polishing System

Hone and polish by going through your traditional grits using Apeiron's Concrete Diamond Disks. Strengthen your conrete with CLM Densifier after 120 grit to improve your floor, then continue honing and polishing.

• Step 1 - Hone with Concrete Diamond Disks

  1) Thoroughly strip the floor to remove surface coating.
  2) Hone the surface with Apeiron's Concrete Diamond Disks and water.
    Start with 30, 50, or 100 grit diamond disks.
    Honing process times:
     1 minute per square foot
  3) Wet vacuum to remove the slurry residue. Damp mop rinse with Apeiron's Stone Wash.
  4) Continue to move upwards through the grits up to and including 100 grit. Densify after 100, continue to hone through 400 grit, then dry polish at 600 grit.

• Step 2 - Strengthen Concrete with CLM Densifier

  1) Apply CLM Densifier to the surface (using a mop, roller, or pump sprayer) to the point of puddling.
  2) CLM Densifier must dry as much of possible before moving onto subsequent steps in honing and polishing.
  4) Continue to move upwards through the grits up to and including 400 grit for comprehensive honing.

• Step 3 - Polish with Concrete Diamond Disks

  1) Thoroughly strip the floor to remove surface coating.
  2) Polish the surface with Apeiron's Concrete Diamond Disks. These steps are done dry
    Start with 600 diamond disks.
    Honing process times:
     1 minute per square foot
  3) Dry vacuum to remove the dust.
  4) Continue to move upwards through grits 1500 and 3000 for comprehensive polishing.

Lippage Removal

Lippage is the difference in height between tiles. Often times when a floor is not laid down properly, or over the course of time, tiles are shifted to different heights, causing a lot of problems for restoring and maintaining your floor.

Trying to maintain or restore floors with a lot of lippage can cause damage to the equipment used or the tiles themselves. To avoid such damages, it is recommened to take down, or remove, lippage, creating a uniform height between all tiles. This makes all restoration and maintenance safer and more effective.

Lippage removal is very similar to Apeiron's 2-step restoration process or traditional restoration. Before starting either restoration method, use Apeiron's Hybrid Diamond Disks to hone at a lower grit than is required for floors without lippage. These unique disks provide extra abrasion and smooth scratch-patterns due to the special material out of which they are made.
